Designed in alignment with Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative, aimed at helping to end hunger and eliminate waste in local communities, the Fight Hunger bag program makes it easy for shoppers to impact local hunger relief efforts. By simply purchasing a $2.50 Fight Hunger bag at Kroger locations, a $1 donation will be made back to local hunger relief organizations for each bag sold.

Making it easy for shoppers to give back to their local communities
Every time a shopper purchases a reusable Fight Hunger bag for $3.00 at your selected Kroger Columbus location, your hunger organization will receive a $1 donation and the Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation will receive $.50. You can help drive bag sales and donations with an ongoing campaign to:
- Promote by emailing supporters.
- Promote by posting to your social media.
- Promote by posting and distributing flyers.
- Check in with the store to meet its leadership and check out the bag display and stock.

Fight Hunger bags are available at participating Kroger Columbus locations. Look for them at registers and on the reusable bag rack. If you can’t find them, just ask a staff member where they are. They’ll be happy to show you!

How much does a Fight Hunger bag cost?
Each bag costs $3.00, with $1 of that purchase going to support a benefiting hunger relief organization in your community and $.50 going to support the Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Foundation.
How are hunger relief organization selected as beneficiaries each month?
Every two months, a hunger relief organization local to each participating store is selected to be the beneficiary from the Fight Hunger bag program. This organization’s name is posted in the store during their two-month selection period.
